Who We Are
Hi, I’m Chris Onuschak, and with 19 years in the pest industry, I’m a seasoned expert in Wood-Destroying Organism (WDO) and Insect (WDI) inspections. For the past decade in Jacksonville, Florida, I focused on delivering top-notch inspections, running my own company from 2013 to 2022. After moving to Tennessee’s mountains to retire, a poorly done WDI inspection during my homebuying process pulled me back into the game. I founded Tennessee WDO Pro in the Tri-Cities to provide the quality I know I can deliver—because I’ve seen the difference it makes. Specializing solely in WDI inspections, I offer no upselling or extra services—just thorough, honest assessments you can trust. My mission? To protect your home with the precision and care I’d expect for mine.

What is a WDO/WDI Inspection?
A Wood-Destroying Organism (WDO) or Wood-Destroying Insect (WDI) inspection is a critical step in the real estate transaction process. In Tennessee, these inspections focus on identifying:
- Termites: Detection of subterranean and drywood termites that can compromise structural integrity.
- Wood-Destroying Beetles: Identification of species like powderpost beetles that weaken wood structures.
- Carpenter Ants and Carpenter Bees: Locating evidence of these insects that can cause structural damage.
Please note: In accordance with Tennessee regulations, WDI inspection reports do not include assessments of wood decay fungi or wood rot.
Who Needs WDO/WDI Inspection?
- Home Buyers: Ensure your prospective home is free from wood-destroying insects.
- Home Sellers: Provide potential buyers with confidence in the property's condition.
- Real Estate Agents: Protect clients from unforeseen expenses related to pest damage.
- Mortgage & Refinancing Companies: Verify the property's structural integrity and value.
